چکیده
The aim of this study was to compare a commercially-available radio-frequency (RF) spectroscopy soil moisture sensor with an array calibrated research-grade water reflectometers in no-till irrigated corn field from June September 2020. RF probe consisted 12 sensors spaced at 4-inch intervals across 48 inches length, while the four deployed along profile 4, 12, 20, and 28 in. depth. Soil were installed approximately 30-ft apart two different regions within same characterized by contrasting textural classes. Hourly temperature collected both compared period. closely followed dynamics captured sensors. Preliminary results reveal that tested is useful for irrigation scheduling based on relative values. Field-specific calibrations are required translate measurements into storage terms volumetric content or profile.

Optimizing Soil Moisture Uniformity and Irrigation Management
This research is a study on the relationship of irrigation water treatments and soil moisture distribution uniformity (DU). Soil moisture distribution was based on long-term data sets that were collected during wet and dry soil conditions (from permanent wilting point to field capacity) using a novel electromagnetic sensor-based platform moving inside subsurface horizontal access-tubes. The irr...

Current study was carried out with aim to evaluate the effect of pressurized irrigation methods and furrow irrigation method with municipal effluent on distribution of salinity and moisture in the soil profile. The experimental study was designed by split plot layout with three irrigation methods including furrow, surface drip (SD) irrigation and subsurface drip irrigation (SSD) and two water q...
متن کاملA genetic algorithm for optimizing off-farm irrigation scheduling
This paper examines the use of genetic algorithm (GA) optimization to identify water delivery schedules for an open-channel irrigation system. Significant objectives and important constraints are identified for this system, and suitable representations of these within the GA framework are developed. Objectives include maximizing the number of orders that are scheduled to be delivered at the req...
